‘Only A Feeling’ is the latest single from M. Byrd, a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer based in Germany. Musically, the track tries to sonically describe the feeling of a panic attack. Guitars weave around the steady beat, creating something simultaneously ethereal and manic. “I have a close friend who deals with panic attacks on a regular basis,” he says of the idea behind the track. “It’s crazy to think of how something just triggers such a powerful reaction where a person has an outburst out of nowhere and ends up gasping for air.” He’s playing a handful of live shows around Europe in September and October 2023. -Dan Peeke
